I'm not very sporty, is it suitable for me?
Anyone can practice Dao Yoga, you don't need any previous knowledge, no special skills, even if you haven't done any physical activity for years. You can start Dao Yoga at any stage and at any age. It does not require flexibility, it does not require physical strength, on the contrary, they are really soft and gentle exercises, even if the body is full of pain and there is a lot of back or joint pain. We literally take you by the hand. From where your body is today, step by step at your own pace. The videos are guided down to the smallest detail and we practice every exercise with you.
Do I need any special equipment?
All you need is comfortable clothing, a non-slip floor and about 2 x 2m of space.
This is enough to practice at home in front of the TV, in the kitchen, in the office or hotel room.
How do I know that I am doing the exercise correctly and not harming myself?
The instructions in the videos are very detailed. Practicing with our training videos is very intuitive and works with our "parrot method". You do what you see and what information is provided via audio. No overloaded instructions, just exactly what you need, in that moment. The goal is not to copy a position extremely precisely, but to work within your body's limits. This way we protect your body and also allow it to open up at a pace that is right for you, without causing damage or pain. No previous knowledge or special skills are required. You can start at any age and in any situation and gradually progress from a very gentle practice to a more intensive one.
What happens if I do an exercise wrong?
Our parrot method ensures that you perform the exercise correctly. If you make a mistake, it's okay, because we practice slowly to avoid mistakes.
I am very busy, what if I don't have time to do the exercises?
First of all, the exercises are very short, lasting between 10 and 30 minutes, making them very easy to integrate into a very busy daily routine. The exercises are available on any device, so you can practice anytime, anywhere, making them much easier and even simpler to integrate into your daily routine.
